Housing and Community Development
  • Within 24 months the Lafayette Consolidated Government construction will provide an additional 20 affordable housing units for residents and families displaced by the hurricanes.    View Projects
  • Immediately begin to improve housing safety and reduce repetitive loss through acquisition or elevation of vulnerable homes.    View Projects
  • In the next 24 months establish plans to guide land use, transportation, housing and drainage in the parish.
  • Within the next three years the Parish and its partners will establish a multi-agency community center to anchor community development activities and to provide a staging area for future disaster relief and recovery activities.    View Projects
Transportation and Infrastructure
  • Repair all storm damages and initiate necessary enhancements to the transportation network to improve capacity, connectivity, and management to handle emergency needs and accommodate current and projected growth over the next five years.    View Projects
  • Within the next 3 years upgrade I-49 connectivity in order to increase the capacity and safety of travel as well as meet the projected travel demands for this corridor, especially during the times of evacuation.    View Projects
  • Within 36 months, implement efficient drainage and flood control measures along key corridors to protect citizens during times of emergency and promote future growth in the future.    View Projects
