  • Remove at least 50% of the most significant timber debris from streams & timber stands within 24 months.    View Projects

  • Establish an ongoing, parish wide, CDBG-supported Housing Rehabilitation Program within 12 months.    View Projects
  • Rehabilitate 50 single-family dwellings per year using approximately 25 grants and 25 low-interest loans supported with CDBG funding within 36 months.
  • Develop a project within 24 months to construct 100 low-income senior apartments, to be completed within 48 months.
  • Develop educational and outreach strategies within 12 months to ensure all parish residents are familiar with resources available to them.
Economic and Workforce Development
  • Increase economic diversity in the parish by increasing capacity for manufacturing and commercial activity within 12 months.    View Projects
  • Develop a revenue generator within 12 months to improve and enhance economic diversity in the parish.
  • Revitalize the town center as the social, civic, business, and cultural center of the parish within 36 months.    View Projects

  • Reduce evacuation time along US 171 and LA 27 by at least 25% within 24 months.
  • Reduce truck traffic through the City of DeRidder by at least 50% within 24 months.
  • Provide auxiliary power to all critical infrastructure and essential service facilities within 6 to 12 months.    View Projects
  • Improve the interoperability of the rural water systems by creating linkages among 6 water districts within 36 months.    View Projects
  • Maintain minimum water pressure to provide sufficient water for fire flows within 36 months.
Education
  • Develop the old school building as an educational and cultural learning center to support economic development in the whole parish within 18 months.
Human Services
