In the event of future storms, the citizens of St. Mary Parish will have reliable options for evacuating the parish should they choose to do so.  Those who may choose to stay in the parish during future storms will continue to have adequate supplies of water and adequate communication capabilities to meet their needs.

Future improvements to basic and important functions of the parish such as schools and infrastructure will foster economic growth of the parish. 

St. Mary Parish will be an important location in Louisiana for the distribution of goods through shipping as well as trucking.  St. Mary’s location as a safe harbor will also be an attraction to both waterborne as well as airborne transportation providers.
