The residents of Iberia Parish envision the community as one that will:

• Restore and enhance the fishing, shrimping, sugar cane, rice and other agricultural sectors
• Protect and enhance fishing, hunting, recreation, and tourism assets
• Prevent future development in vulnerable areas without appropriate mitigation
• Ensure reasonable levels of protection from natural disasters
• Value connections, friendship, family and culture
• Offer ample and diverse employment and business opportunities
• Encourage public involvement and a government that is responsive to citizens’ needs
